Merwyn started in the insurance business as a rater of plate glass, burlary, & robbery insurance in April 1965. Soon thereafter, he was promoted to Casualty underwriter and by 1973 had move up to Sales Manager of another MGA located in Minneapolis.

Merwyn attended various colleges with the last one being the UofM. He completed is IIA in 1968 and his CPCU in 1975. He has been very active in providing insurance education programs to local independent agents in the Midwest.

With his former partner, Lance Erickson, they formed E&L in 1980. Lance retired in early 2002, leaving Merwyn as the principal owner & president of E&L.

Dale has 36 years of experience in the E&S business. 23 of them have been with Erickson-Larsen, Inc.

He began his career with Erickson-Larsen, Inc as a property/casualty underwriter. In 1991 he became the Vice President and in 2004 was promoted to Executive Vice President. Dale is responsible for many of the day to day operations of Erickson-Larsen.

Dale resides in Anoka, MN with his wife Shari. They have 3 sons and several grandchildren.

Gary has been a broker with Erickson-Larsen for the past seven years. Prior to coming to Erickson-Larsen, he held various underwriting positions over a 20+ year career with The St. Paul Companies.

Julie began her insurance career with Erickson-Larsen, Inc. in 1985. During her career, she has spent time in processing, property/casualty underwriting and commerical auto underwriting. Her current position is an underwriter/broker for our brokerage division handling E&O, D&O, EPL, liquor and larger property/casualty risks.

Julie is a member of The Professional Liability Underwriting Society and is currenly working towards her RPLU designation.
